Boss hunter by day, farm boss by night. This is the unlikely proposal offered by Harvestella, Square Enix latest release. Players of Square Enix’s entries can easily find perfectly hidden loot- treasures, but will they be able to acquire the required tool to break big rocks in Harvestella?

This guide teaches you how to (finally) break big rocks in Harvestella and get them off your lawn.

What is Harvestella all about?

Harvestella is an action role-playing game set in a fantasy world in which harvesting also plays an important role.

You can create different machines and choose different options for your farm, as well as work benches and options to create new tools. And, of course, there is no shortage of final bosses, new skills, and much more.

When you are a farmer looking to make a large amount of Grilla, you use all available space to farm. Every obstacle to farming is a personal vendetta, which must be destroyed to allow farming. Nothing stands between you and your hustle and bustle, including the pesky big rocks that clog your farm plots.

How to break big rocks in Harvestella?

You’ll need an upgraded hammer to destroy the big rocks on your farm in Harvestella.

Before you start hurling tomatoes at me, I’ll tell you how to acquire the upgraded hammer.

After completing all of Shirii’s requests from her Fairy Book, the upgraded hammer can be acquired. They are six in total, but there’s a slight chance you might have already completed them. They stack retroactively, so you’re good to go if you’ve already completed some of her proposed challenges.

Once you’ve done that, she’ll upgrade the hammer for you. With your new, shiny hammer, you can walk up to any big rock and then press and hold the button to smash them.

How to complete the Fairy book and break big rocks in Harvestella?

You’ll meet Shirii, an Earth Fairy, during 3C Quest. It will become available around 10 hours into the game, so you’ll, unfortunately, have to get acquainted with the big rocks for now.

Once you have cleared Winter Dungeon in Quest 3C and completed Shirii’s orders in the Faerie Book, you will finally be able to access the Upgraded Hammer.

Harvestella is available on PC and Nintendo Switch.
