The Season of Alola event in Pokémon Go is here, and with it comes many new Pokémon originally found in the Alola Region. Rockruff is a very popular Pokémon from Alola and is catchable in a few different ways during this event. The shiny form of the Pokémon has been added to the game, so players hoping to catch it should be sure to focus on hatching 10km Eggs and battling in Rockruff’s one-star raids.
Ways to encounter a shiny Rockruff
Raid Battles
Alongside the legendary Tapu Koko, Rockruff will be featured in one-star raid battles over the course of the Season of Alola event. The Pokémon can be shiny when encountered after a successful raid battle.
Egg Hatches
Rockruff has joined the egg hatch rotation for the duration of the Season of Alola event. Many other Pokémon are also included with potential shiny forms added for many of the egg hatches. Rockruff and its shiny form can only be hatched from 10km Eggs at the time of writing.
