When you first start playing Black Desert Online, you’re made to choose a family name for your character. This name doesn’t really serve a purpose other than to keep your characters identifiable.
However, if you find yourself really wanting a different family name than what you have right now, there is a way to change it. It just takes a little bit of time.
You can access the game’s Pearl Shop, and this is where you can buy a Family Name Change Coupon for 1,000 Pearls. Once you use this coupon, you can choose what your new Family Name will be, and this change will be applied during the game’s next maintenance.
You can also purchase a Character Name Change Coupon and Character Name Transfer Coupon for 1,000 and 500 Pearls, respectively.
