While any player can successfully speedrun Slime Rancher, a few goals and exploits must be met in the process. These exploits are shortcuts of sorts that can cut down the time players need to spend on actually reaching each of the required checkpoints within the game. We’ll cover all of the necessary checkpoints and exploits you need to know in the guide below.
Satisfying the Pink Gordo’s Hunger
The first checkpoint of the game is to fill the Pink Gordo until he bursts into several small pink slimes.
- Grab 30 Carrots/PogofruitTake a precise route between each Carrot patch and Pogofruit treeJump off the ledge overlooking the Pink GordoRun part way up the dock to shoot the food into the Pink Gordo’s mouthWait for the Pink Gordo to explodeGrab a few Pink Slimes on the way out
Gate One: Warp Home
Players will then need to warp home by making it throught the Moss Blanket gate.
- Head left up the path away from where you cameShoot a Slime at the ground to boost a jump onto the ledge with the large Pogofruit treeDo this trick once more to jump onto the farther ledgeThen shoot Slimes against the rocks forming on the left side to climb up the wallNext, you’ll want to jump down toward the bridges across the waterUse a Slime held below you to bounce above the water Land on the closest rock and use another Slime to climb up the rockwall to the bridgesHead to the first gate and use the Slime Key to open itDon’t wait for the gate to open, instead use Slimes to scale the wallDon’t use the path—jump over to the ledge on the opposite sideDon’t jump down the hole! Instead, jump off of its roots and over the ledge to the farthest level belowRun down the path and jump on the ledge to the rightRun straight ahead and back down to the lower levelFollow the path into the Danger Zone and collect some Mint Mangos and CuberriesCollect a few Boom Slime and Honey PlortsThen warp home at the end of the trail
Satisfying the Phosphor Gordo’s Hunger
This next section takes a little more planning out as the player collects and grows what they need for the Phosphor Gordo.

- Feed the Phosphor Slimes until they produce PlortsGrab Phosphor Slimes and their PlortsUse the Slimes to jump back out of the caveGrab Wooden Box to bounce over the ocean to Moss BlanketHead up to the left to find the Honey GordoFeed Mint Mangos until the Honey Gordo explodes
Gate Two: Emergency Warp Home
- Take the path back out of the Moss Blanket and up to the East Courtyard gateGrab a Hen Hen and Tabby Slime along the wayUse Slime Key to unlock the gateWhile waiting for the gate, feed the Tabby Slime the Hen Hen and collect the Tabby PlortKeep to the left through the gate and jump on the ledge Shoot the Tabby Plort at the left-most Slime statueShoot the Phosphor Plort at the middle Slime statueShoot the Rock Plort at the right-most Slime statueReach and open the next gate to the far right Don’t wait for it to open—instead, knock Beatrix out to return home
The Ancient Ruins Gate
- After waking up, wait another dayGrab the second Tank Booster upgradeHarvest all Cuberries and demolish their plotsHarvest all Mint Mangos and demolish its plotHarvest all PogofruitGrab large Boom-Honey hybrid Slime to jump and float over the canyon terrain to reach the Rock and Pink SlimesRun through the cavern with the hybrid Slime, using it as a shield and manuevering objectCollect a Rad Plort by shaking a Rad SlimeUse the hybrid Slime to scale the wall next to the giant bones and jump across the water on the other sideCollect Pogofruit along the wayReach the statue area and give the statue to your immediate left the Rad PlortFeed the hybrid Slime to collect Honey and Boom PlortsGive a Honey Plort to the statue in just past the Rad statueGive the Boom Plort to the statue in the grass before the singing gateScale the wall with the hybrid Slime as it unlocks
Satisfying the Quantum Gordo’s Hunger
- Activate the first pillar in the Ancient RuinsTake the hybrid Slime through the ruins, keeping to the right side away from the pathScale the wall near the far-right cornerJump onto the wall to the rightFollow the wall forward across the waterfallsHead diagonally-right across the next section Activate the globe here to open the Quantum Gordo’s cave beneathFeed the Quantum Gordo Mint Mango and Pogofruit until he explodes
Gate Four & the Dervish Gordo
- Collect Quantum Slimes and at least five Quantum PlortsUse similar shortcuts as before to quickly reach the third gateUnlock the gate with the Slime KeyFollow the path down and give a Quantum Plort to each of the statuesUse the activated portal to the next sectionHead straight down the path Keep right once the path opens up and scale the far wallFeed the Dervish Gordo Pogofruit and Cuberries until it explodes
Gate Five & The H Note
- Take the path previously hidden by the Dervish Gordo to the fifth gateUnlock the fifth gateFollow the path and take a rightJump off the ledge and take another rightFollow the cave and use a Slime to jump up a levelRun all the way down the path and take a left outHead past the H notes and into the Slime TempleActivate the very last H note and knock out Beatrix againThen sleep until the 15th day to reach the credits
