The Dimming Mushroom’s Call for Help is a World Quest that can be initiated in The Chasm. It’s recommended to first unlock the new base camp in the Wherefore Did the Spiritstone Descend? World Quest to light up The Glowing Narrows to make it easier to navigate this quest.
When you’re ready, head to the area circled in the image below. The giant mushroom will talk to you and prompt you to pay it a visit.
Talk to the giant mushroom named Xamaran, who will ask you to remove three Oozing Concretions around the area. Head to the areas circled in the image below to find the dark mud. Dispel the Oozing Concretions by activating the Lumenstone Adjuvant, which needs to be at least level 2.
After all three have been dispelled, head back to Xamaran, who will ask you to bring life back to five mushrooms. Follow the quest markers to find the mushrooms, and interact with them to recharge them with one Energy each. Once that’s done, head back to Xamaran, who will give you Blessings of Wisdom.
You need to use the Blessings of Wisdom to cleanse the foul energy, which you can find by following the stream of water. The quest marker won’t appear until you’re near the area, so reference the image below for the exact place you’re looking for.
When you get there, you’ll find an Oozing Concretion surrounded by three Abyss Mages. You can ignore the enemies and activate the Lumenstone Adjuvant to dispel the foul energy and remove the enemies. You’ll be rewarded with a Precious Chest for your effort.
Afterward, head back to Xamaran in The Glowing Narrows to report the task completion. You’ll get the Wonders of the World Achievement called The Mushroom That Asks Too Much.
