In Winter Ember, you play Arthur Artorias on a quest to seek vengeance for the murder of his family. Along the way, you will encounter various side quests that can earn you some extra gold or items. One of these is the How ‘Bout A Drink quest. This may leave you wondering how to complete the How ‘Bout A Drink quest in Winter Ember.
This quest is initiated by speaking to a mysterious woman in the Crab Meat Bar. She will offer you a drink and company, but you quickly realize that you are drugged and robbed when you pass out. You are then tasked with tracking the woman down, retrieving your gold. Fortunately, a bar worker informs you she has a room upstairs.
How to break into the woman’s room in Winter Ember
The woman’s room is found at the end of the hall upstairs, but it is unlocked and cannot be picked up. To break into the woman’s room, you must find another way in. If you look above you, an air vent leads into her room.
Pick the lock of the room across the hall and enter the room. Inside this room, you will be able to access the air duct and enter her room. She will flee through a window on the terrace outside and away upon getting inside. Pursue her.
This will take you to the river where she attempts to flee by boat. You must get ahead of her and activate a switch that will close the river’s gate. The boat does not move fast, so you have some time, but you should hurry. Closing the gate will trigger a cutscene where you confront the woman and get your gold back.
