Among Us has added the ability for players to create accounts in the game, which will now make saving data much easier. Players are now afforded several benefits, such as reporting offending players and having data saved. One of the most attractive benefits for Among Us players is the new option to change display names.

How to Create an Account in Among Us

Here’s a how-to guide to using the new account to create a feature in Among Us.

Step One: Open the Application and Find the Account Button

If this is your first time entering the game since the update in late March, you may receive a pop-up that says Account Info. If so, click sign-in and jump to Step Two. If you do not receive the pop-up, look in the upper left corner for the icon that says Account. Click the button.

Step Two: Click Sign In

Once you have clicked Account, it will take you to a screen labeled Account Info. At the bottom left of this mini-screen, click the button that says Sign In. This will then create another pop-up that will ask if the user wants to create an account. Select OK. This will automatically create an account that is tied to the platform you are using. For example, if you are using Microsoft to play, it will tie the account to your Microsoft account.

Can Players Use The Account On Different Platforms?

Sadly, there is no way to transfer over data from one account to another on Among Us, currently. As an example, if someone creates an account on Android, they cannot take the data from that same account to their Nintendo Switch. Hopefully, this will eventually become a feature with Among Us. Right now, only the account on the platform used is viable. Players will likely need to create multiple accounts if they use multiple platforms.
