For those participating in the Nature Day festivities in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you will have a new Nook Miles challenge to do every day. These daily tasks will reflect your islander in New Horizons to do something more eco-friendly around their island. The reward for doing this is receiving five times as many Nook Miles for fulfilling the task before the end of the day. One of these challenges is to decorate using flowers on your island.

The directions for this task are a little obscure. Does planting a flower and planting it somewhere on your island count as decorating with a flower? No, it doesn’t. You don’t want to take this challenge as direct as this. Instead, all you need to do is go to your workbench to see what flower-based DIY projects you have available.

For example, if you scroll down to find the Rose Wreath in your available DIY projects, it only takes three different kinds of roses to create it. All you have to do is pick the flowers off of the roses in your garden and placing them in your inventory. Once you craft the item, you can hang it up anywhere inside of your house. When the object lands on the surface of your home, it counts towards the challenge, and you can receive those Nook Miles and complete the Nature Day task.

You can do this with any DIY project that requires you to use flowers in your garden. There are a variety of flower-based DIY projects choose from, and you’re not limited to only creating the Rose Wreath. Each of the flower types has a wreath DIY project available. Make sure to hang it up somewhere in your home to complete the Nature Day task.
