How to Reach the Dragonkin Soldier of Sokstella
The first step to getting to this boss is getting through the Ainsel River Well, which is no easy task. Start by going to the left in the Ainsel River Well Depths, and you will get to the Uhl Palace Ruins. There is a very powerful enemy located at the top of the ruins. The enemy can be passed by or defeated before moving on. After the Uhl Palace Ruins, go to the tunnel located on the west side of the chamber. Follow the tunnel north until you get to a large chamber. Get ready for a difficult boss fight.
Defeating the Dragonkin Soldier of Sokstella
The Dragonkin Solider is a very difficult boss that can of doing massive amounts of damage with each hit. At the beginning of the fight, the boss will use lunging strike attacks, but be cautious because many of these lunges can be followed up with more attacks. The Dragonkin Soldier’s claws will glow when doing a powerful follow-up attack, so watch for that. The boss has a lunging vertical slash attack that leaves it open for melee attacks. Ranged attacks or magic can also be effective, but make sure you are constantly moving, because the boss will keep attacking.
The second phase of the fight is where things get really tricky. The Dragonkin Soldier will release a blast of electricity and grow wings. When the Dragonkin Soldier takes flight, it will perform a powerful dive attack or launch a series of AOE attacks that can be devastating. The AOE attacks are indicated by lightning pulsing on the ground, so avoid these spots and keep running. A good strategy for melee users is to roll under the boss as it lands and attack the legs for a quick finish.
