The best way to tackle a fight with a Longleg in Horizon Forbidden West is to target their body parts responsible for some of its most devastating attacks. Targeting and destroying a Longleg’s Wing Burner will disable its Fire elemental effect attacks making it a much smaller threat to players.

Cauldron

In Horizon Forbidden West, Cauldrons allow players to override the machines within that Cauldron once they have completed it. Completing a Cauldron usually means traversing through its dungeon-like corridors and facing off against a boss at the end. The Longleg is a part of the IOTA Overrides Cauldron.
