The first boss Chai will encounter in Hi-Fi Rush is the QA-1MIL, a gigantic robot with massive hands that can easily smash players if they are not careful. After a comical cutscene with Rekka, QA-1MIL will appear to “QA-test” Chai in a violent manner. The boss fight will begin with the robot performing a two-handed swipe or smash on the arena that players can avoid by jumping into the air right before the boss’s hands hit the ground. The QA-1MIL will then land his first one-handed smash onto Chai, who can easily avoid the strike with a quick dodge.
Defeating QA-1MIL in Hi-Fi Rush
To defeat QA-1MIL in Hi-Fi Rush, players must take advantage of the robot’s weakness, its hands. According to Chai’s companion, QA-1MIL’s hands are “extra sensitive for inspecting,” making them a great target for the protagonist’s melee weapon. After the boss lands its first one-handed pound, players must immediately behind attacking the fist.

Players must watch the red circles on the ground and make to not stand inside them.
QA-1MIL will charge up before emitting a burst of electricity.
Players must avoid being on the ground and stay away from the electrical AoE.
The QA-1MIL boss of Hi-Fi Rush will smash the ground with one hand several times.
The final strike is similar One-handed Smash, leaving the boss’s vulnerable hand stuck to the ground.
The QA-1MIL boss of Hi-Fi Rush will fire several laser from one side to another.
Players must dodge like they are avoiding two Wide Swipes, after which QA-1MIL’s hands will be left vulnerable for several moments.
