The worlds of Souls games are always full of messages, and Elden Ring is no exception to that rule. They can, at times, be extremely helpful, and they can sometimes be rather amusing. But other times, they can get a bit annoying. The question is: can you disable them?
As far as the in-game settings go, there is not an option to turn off the messages in Elden Ring. However, there is a way that you can effectively achieve the same result, but it affects another function of the game.
To get rid of the messages within Elden Ring, you will need to go offline. Given that the messages come from the online part of the game, this is the only way to make them disappear.
How to Go Offline in Elden Ring
To do this, simply:
- Go to the Pause MenuHead down to SystemScroll across to NetworkMake your way down to Launch Setting and change the option to Play Offline
Once you have done this, you’ll want to restart your game and load back into your session. Upon re-entering the game, you will see that the messages have disappeared.
Unfortunately, this is the only way to disable messages. If you really enjoy online play, then this is most likely going to inhibit you in a larger way than the messages do. In short, there is a way to get rid of messages, but it costs another feature.
