Catching Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus works a little differently than it has in other Pokémon games. While you can still battle wild Pokémon, there are other ways to catch them. You can sneak up on them and catch them off guard. But you can also distract the Pokémon to ensure that it doesn’t spot you.
To distract wild Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you can throw berries nearby the Pokémon. If you throw it close enough, it will notice the berry and approach it. The Pokémon will then eat the berry, totally oblivious to its surroundings. This is the opportune moment to catch an unaware Pokémon.
There are various Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and they have different behaviors. This means you will need to alternate your strategy when it comes to catching them all. Distracting Pokémon is one of many ways to improve your odds of catching them.
If you plan to distract Pokémon, you will want to make sure you have plenty of berries in your bag. The last thing you want to do is run out when an angry Shinx is rushing you down!
