As Roblox continues to grow in popularity with over three billion accounts created and new features are continuously announced for the platform, including voice chat and dynamic avatars, it’s only a matter of time before Roblox becomes available on every device, console, or mobile. Things have come a long way from the platform’s launch in 2006. For now, Roblox is stuck to only three outlets—and PlayStation is unfortunately not one of them.

This boundary line may not exist for much longer, as Roblox CEO and co-founder Dave Baszucki said in May of 2021 that PlayStation compatibility “makes perfect sense for Roblox,” as reported by GamesRadar. Though no mention of this PlayStation addition occurred at 2021’s RDC, it wouldn’t be surprising if news came about in 2022. Roblox has ambitious goals for the new year, one of which could very well include compatibility with PS4, PS5, and the Nintendo Switch.

As development continues for Roblox and its platform, there have also been rumors that VR compatibility will become more prominent within experiences. What used to seem so far away and futuristic has now been integrated into our daily lives, and Roblox is not surprised to be ahead of the curve. So much so, in fact, that we recently released our list of the best VR headsets for Roblox to go along with our list of the Best Roblox VR Games (2021).

While we wait for more solid information, we want to remind players that actively searching for third-party Roblox access from PlayStation’s web browsing system is not a good idea. Even if visiting and logging into the Roblox website itself is possible, you will not have authorized access to enter any experiences. Trusting a third-party application or website that asks for your information in exchange for Roblox access will always be a scam unless it’s been officially announced and approved by Roblox.
