We knew it was coming soon, but maybe not this soon. The demo for Monster Hunter Rise, Capcom’s hotly anticipated newest entry in its bestselling franchise, will drop tomorrow, January 8, on the Nintendo Switch eShop.

To make sure you’re ready to play, make sure you have an existing Nintendo Network ID linked to your console. Head to the Nintendo eShop by selecting the eShop icon from the Switch Home menu. By tomorrow, you will probably see an icon with an accompanying story for the Monster Hunter Rise demo. If you don’t, you can use the search bar to put in “Demo” and choose Monster Hunter Rise from the list. You can also select the Game Demos icon and find the listing for MHR.

When you have the game selected, there should be a Download Demo icon next to the More Details button. Tap or select the Download Demo button, and you’ll get some info about the game’s ESRB rating. Select Next, and now you should be able to select Download. The Switch allows you to Download Now, to start the demo download right away, or Download Later, which will delay the download until you have put your Switch in Sleep Mode. This is a good option if you’re planning to play something online before you’re ready to use your bandwidth to get the demo.

All you have to do now is wait for the demo to install, and you’ll be ready to try out Monster Hunter Rise, which releases in full on March 26.
