Splatoon 3 is all about ink! And even as you play the game for other reasons, you’ve got to be attracted by the prospect of creating art. You and your friends — you don’t have to be a talented artist — can share the artwork you create and even use it for communication before and after matches. If you want to get in on the action, read this post on how to draw art posts in Splatoon 3.

How to Draw Art Posts in Splatoon 3

The first step to creating art posts in Splatoon 3 is to become a member of the Splatfest Team. This requires picking any of the 3 Splatfest teams:

  • Rock
  • paper
  • Scissors

After choosing your team, locate the red postbox in Splatoon 3’s main lobby. The next step is to engage with the letterbox located to Hotlantis’ left, on the other side of Man-o’-Wardrobe. By doing so, a drawing will appear. If a Splatfest is active, you may decide between making a general post or one dedicated to it. You can make a general art post whenever you want.

By choosing the Splatfest Post, you will activate the sketching menu, which you can use to design your masterpiece. You might want to sketch on a tablet for better-quality posts. Not that any of that matters anyways. You can also sketch using the joystick but even as you create art on Splatoon 3, know that you cannot create more than one drawing at a time.

If other gamers approach your avatar, they can see your artwork in your lobbies. The artwork might even appear as graffiti on the wall as player posts are displayed as graffiti everywhere.

The following are the basic controls for making an art post in Splatoon 3
