Watch Dogs: Legion, like plenty of other games these days, allows you to use emotes. These brief, fun little animations are cool tools to use in multiplayer modes, but you can also use them in Legion’s single-player campaign.

To use an emote in Watch Dogs: Legion, you will need to bring up the emote wheel. You can do this by pressing and holding the left D-pad button on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Alternatively, you can press and hold the Z key on QWERTY PC keyboards, or the W key on AZERTY keyboards.

The emote wheel will appear on screen. Use the right thumbstick or mouse cursor to navigate to the emote that you want to use, and then let go of the D-pad or key to activate it. There are five emotes that you can choose from at the beginning of the game. These are greet, dance, cheer, pacify, and insult. You can also select a sixth option — random — if you want your character to perform an emote of their choosing.

However, there are other emotes that you can discover as you recruit more members for your DedSec team. Musicians, for example, come with a Trumpet emote that you can select when you are in control of them. Ensure you explore London’s population and try to find more unique emotes to add to your collection.
