With the current generation of consoles being the most powerful that they have ever been, players have come to expect a level of quality from games. This increase in power comes in handy when playing FPS games and wanting to have the highest frame rate possible and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is no exception. Many players are expecting to play the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 at 120Hz, so let’s go over how you can turn on 120Hz in the new Modern Warfare.
How to Enable 120Hz in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
If you’re looking to enable this option, you’ll just need to do a few simple things. If you’re playing on PlayStation 5, you’ll want to make sure that you’ve enabled 120hz under the System Settings.
You’ll find that this option is hiding under the Screen and Video settings, under Video Output. You’ll also be able to enable VRR and change your resolution if needed. Just search for 120Hz Output, and set this to Automatic to get these precious frames.
When jumping in on Xbox Series X, you’ll need to do something fairly similar. The first thing you’ll need to do is open the Guide and make your way into the settings menu once more.
After this, you’ll want to make sure that you’re checking under the TV & Display Options, where you’ll be able to quickly and easily enable the 120Hz mode. Now, you’re ready to game with the best of them.
When the option is enabled, you will be able to find the refresh rate and frame rate settings under your graphics menu. For next-gen consoles, you should be able to turn the refresh rate up to 120Hz while you will be able to go much higher on a PC.
Of course, you will be sacrificing 4k resolution for the 120Hz refresh rate, but most players would take the ability to react faster over how the game looks. Although you can’t up your refresh rate yet, you can still invite friends to watch your back so you don’t have to rely on a higher framerate to turn on enemies.
In a game like this, you’ll need to be as competitive as possible. Having a way to double up your XP is a great option to stay on top of things, as well as knowing how to properly tune your attachments.
