Cheats and console commands add a whole new level to Minecraft. Whether it’s pure utility, to help trapped or struck players or just to mess around and give yourself unlimited resources for your big project, cheats and commands can do a lot in Minecraft.

To enable cheats in Minecraft, you’ll need to set the option when you first start a new world. To do this, launch Minecraft. Select Create a New World. You’ll need to select Allow Cheats. Make sure this option is ticked to Allow Cheats: ON.

If you have already created a world, you will not be able to enable cheats. This option is only available when you create a world in single player.

In multiplayer, an admin of a server may be able to enable and disable cheats depending on their preferences. You’ll have to contact the admin directly to check whether cheats are enabled or if you want cheats activated.

Minecraft Realms server owners will not be able to change the Cheats Enabled options after the world is created. However, as standard, the Realms operator will be able to use commands from the start.

Once you’ve enabled cheats, you’re able to use console commands and cheats of all kinds in your world!
