Microsoft Teams is slowly getting new features and becoming a powerful alternative to Zoom and Google Meet. Some time ago, Microsoft brought Together Mode on Teams to make everyone feel at the office and now they have brought another essential feature: AI-based background noise cancellation. You can now enable noise cancellation on Microsoft Teams to significantly suppress background noise in real-time. If you don’t want to get distracted while you are in a meeting or a call, turning on noise cancellation on Microsoft Teams is a must. So without further ado, let’s go through the steps.

Before we move ahead, keep in mind, noise cancellation on Microsoft Teams is currently available only on the Windows app and it’s being slowly rolled out to all users. In case you have not got the feature, keep patience, and wait for a new update. The best part is that the feature is available to everyone — both paid and free users so that is great. With that out of the way, let’s begin.

  1. If you want to disable noise cancellation on Microsoft Teams then simply open your profile -> Settings -> Devices -> Noise Suppression -> Choose “Off” from the drop-down menu.
