How to Evade Cops in Need for Speed Unbound

There are five different levels of Heat that you can have. The difficulty you’ll have evading the cops increases will each level you gain. You gain Heat levels by competing in races or coaching into cop cars and starting police chases.

Below is how to evade cops for each Heat level in Need for Speed: Unbound:

  • Heat Level One
  • The cops will be aware of you, but you won’t be their top priority just yet. They won’t pursue you unless you give them a reason.
  • To evade the cops, you’ll need to destroy the interceptor vehicles. Also, travel very fast and take a lot of turns to evade them.
  • Heat Level Tw0
  • The cops will begin to search for you. However, if they don’t find you, they will eventually give up, but if you fall into their sights, they will pursue you.
  • At this point, the cops will deploy a stronger SUV to try to take you off the road. Since they are rather slow, you can easily speed out of their sight and wait for your Heat level to lower a bit.
  • Heat Level Three
  • At this Heat level, you will be noticed much more quickly by the cops, and they will recruit more cars to join in the chase.
  • At this point, you’ll have to step up your evasion game. You’ll have to cause the cops to crash into each other and take many quick last minute turns to try to evade them. Outspending the cars to escape isn’t much of an option anymore, so you’ll have to outsmart them.
  • Heat Level Four
  • At this Heat level, you’ll be noticed very quickly and the cops will deploy helicopters to try to catch up to you.
  • The Helicopters are pretty hard to avoid unless you can get to a tunnel or overpass where you are out of their line of sight. After that, you’ll have to dodge and ditch the multiple cop cars that are chasing you.
  • Heat Level Five
  • At this Heat level, the cops will be very alert and will have every one of their forces deployed in order to catch you.
  • At this point, the biggest issue is going to be the trucks with stars above them. They are both extremely strong and fast. You’ll have to outsmart them and find a way for them to crash at high speeds. Make quick turns, drive as fast as you can, and absolutely do not let them ram into you.
